ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After recording his first career double-double in a win over Hartford, Isaiah Sykes has been named the Bright House Student-Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore seemed to be everywhere on the court Saturday night, leading the UCF men's basketball team in scoring with a career-high 22 points.

In addition to a career-high 11 rebounds, Sykes made the play of the game with a powerful blocked shot high above the rim.

The 6-foot-5 small forward seems to be in mid-season form, already registering nine or more points in every game this season, including 10 points and four boards in an upset victory over No. 4 Connecticut.

The Detroit native is looking to build off a freshman season, where he played in 32 games, averaging four points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

With finals week looming ahead, the Knights are off until Saturday, when they host Bethune-Cookman at the UCF Arena.
