ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's season wrapped up Nov. 25 with a 31-14 victory over UTEP at Bright House Networks Stadium, as the Knights went 5-1 at home in 2011. Check out below for quick notes and statistics regarding the 2011 season.

IN THE BOOKS
? The Knights went 5-7 on the year with a 3-5 mark in Conference USA, posting a 5-1 record in home games.
? Overall, UCF combined to outscore its opponents, 325-220, as its offense averaged 406.8 yards per game compared to the defense surrendering just 303.3 yards per outing.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS
? Of UCF's seven losses in 2011, six of them came by seven points or less as it was outscored by just a 159-128 margin in those contests.
? The Knights had the most losses by eight points or less this year, tying with Miami (Fla.).
? In all, the Knights were only outscored by a total of 50 points in their seven losses for a 7.14 average margin of defeat.

MAKING A STATEMENT

? But after topping the Bulldogs, the Knights pummeled Boston College, 30-3, for two-straight victories against the "big conferences."
? The 30 points against the Eagles were the most vs. a BCS AQ school since the Knights fell to Texas, 35-32, in 2007.
