ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After leading the UCF women's basketball team to an impressive win over Virginia Tech, Aisha Patrick has been selected as the Bright House Networks Student-Athlete of the Week. The senior totaled 13 points and 13 rebounds against the Hokies.
Patrick played 39 minutes in the 41-32 victory and also added three assists. The double-double was the third of the season for the guard. She helped limit Virginia Tech to only 22.8 percent shooting overall and a 7.7 percent performance from 3-point range.
The win over the Hokies served as UCF's first victory over an ACC program since 1986.
The Knights will return to action Tuesday at No. 3 Notre Dame.
