Oct 31: The past weekend was a big one for UCF Volleyball. Rice and Houston were ranked fourth and second in Conference USA, so we needed to come out with two wins to be able to do what we wanted to do in conference this year. It was really exciting to see us win in five on Friday night. We beat a team that was doing very well this season, which put us in a good place in conference. It felt good to really crush them in the fifth set. I felt that we were extremely motivated and playing at home gave us the needed support for this big W.
On Sunday, we had the band and a pretty good crowd which helped with the energy on the floor. Since we won in four at Rice, we knew we had to take care of business again. They are a good team, because they run a quick offense, but we knew how to hold them down. In general, this was a really successful weekend for the Knights. Tradition starts here!
