ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Play continued Saturday at the UCF Invitational, the lone home event for the UCF men's tennis team this fall, at the UCF Tennis Complex. The Knights are competing in the three-day event along with Arkansas, Auburn, Florida Gulf Coast and Miami.
The tournament is the final event of the fall for the Knights.
UCF picked up two singles wins Saturday. Junior Juan Bolona (Miami, Fla.) was victorious for the second-straight day. He posted a 6-0, 6-3 win over Nikolas Zogai of Arkansas. Sophomore Francesc Aulina (Barcelona, Spain) defeated Arkansas' Hall Fess, 6-0, 6-3.
"Juan Bolona had another strong day in singles and I am very pleased with how he is starting to step up. Kiku Aulina also played a strong match today and is learning how to build points better, which is why he is seeing better results the past couple of weeks. Tomorrow we need to compete hard and end our fall season on a good note," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said.
Action at the tournament will conclude Sunday. Play starts at 9:30 a.m., and the Knights will be in action starting at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
