ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Saturday, the UCF men's basketball team will play its lone exhibition game before opening the regular season next week when the Knights host West Virginia Tech. The contest at the UCF Arena will begin at 5 p.m. and admission is free.

Prior to the game, fans can purchase their season tickets as part of a select-a-seat event. Representatives from the UCF ticket sales office will be on hand in the arena lobby starting at 4 p.m. to help with ticket purchases. For more information on season tickets call (407) UCF-1000 or visit UCFAthletics.com.

The Knights are coming off a memorable 2010-11 campaign in which the program had many achievements during head coach Donnie Jones' first year in Orlando. UCF started the year 14-0, posted big non-league wins over No. 16 Florida, Miami, USF and Princeton, entered the top 25 for the first time and participated in the postseason College Basketball Invitational.

Six players are back from last year's squad, led by juniors Keith Clanton (Orlando, Fla.) and Marcus Jordan (Chicago, Ill.). Clanton was recently named to the Preseason All-Conference USA First Team and Jordan was an all-league second team selection. UCF has a large crop of newcomers, including three Division I transfers who will all suit up for the Knights in 2011-12.

UCF will open the regular season on Nov. 12 against Saint Thomas at home. The Knights are scheduled to play 17 games at the UCF Arena.

An NAIA school, West Virginia Tech went 14-16 a year ago. The Golden Bears are led by Josh Proctor, an All-America honorable mention pick who averaged 15.3 points per game in 2010-11.

A UCF All-Access Exclusive Webcast of the game will be available at UCFAthletics.com and will feature UCF play-by-play voice Marc Daniels.

Complimentary parking for the exhibition game is available in Garage D across from the arena.
