ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After posting an impressive second-place finish at the Battle 4 Atlantis, and defeating 4th-ranked and defending national champion UConn, UCF is making moves nationally. The Knights have jumped to 13th in the RealTimeRPI.com ratings and have faced the third-toughest schedule in the country according to the website.
Last week in the Bahamas, the Knights placed second at the eight-team Battle 4 Atlantis. In addition to rallying to beat UConn, and snap the Huskies' 16-game winning streak, UCF also topped a College of Charleston squad that was coming off of a victory at Clemson and was unbeaten.
Four of UCF's six opponents this season are listed in the top-100 of the RPI: Harvard (15), Florida State (30), College of Charleston (48) and UConn (88).
After playing three contests in three days in the Bahamas, the Knights will have a few days without a game. UCF will return to action Saturday, hosting Hartford at 5 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
Season tickets are still available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
