ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Central Florida-area softball players can register now for three upcoming softball winter camps on the team's new camp website. CFFC will conduct three different camps, one during the month of November and two during the month of January, which includes the 2011 Elite High School Thanksgiving Camp, the 2012 Pitching and Hitting Clinic, as well as the 2012 Elite All Skills Camp.
The first camp being offered in the winter-camp series is the 2011 Elite High School Thanksgiving Camp. This is available to players from grades 9-12 and takes place Saturday, Nov. 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Players will be instructed by members of the Knights' coaching staff and current and former players at the UCF Softball Complex. Former USA Softball player and Michigan All-American Jennie Ritter will be on site as a special guest instructor. The cost for this camp is $120.00 and registration is now open.
Following the Thanksgiving camp, the Knights will offer a pitching and hitting clinic in conjunction with the Disney Sun Classic for campers in grades 8-12 on Jan. 12 from 6-9 p.m. Pitchers must bring their own catcher and catchers must provide their own equipment. The cost of this camp is $60.00 and registration is now open.
The winter camp series will come to a close with the Elite All-Skills Camp taking place Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This camp is for players in grades 8-12 and will feature UCF Softball's players and coaches as special instructors. This instructional camp is for the emerging softball player who needs developmental and positional skill work. Cost for this camp is $120.00 and registration is open now.
