ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The academic accolades continue to roll in for UCF volleyball middle blocker Tory McCutcheon (Milton, Ontario). On Tuesday afternoon, the talented junior was named to the 2011 Conference USA All-Academic Volleyball Team as a unanimous selection. This is the second-consecutive season that McCutcheon has been named to the all-academic squad by the league.

McCutcheon joins former Knight Jenny Heppert as the only repeat performers on the C-USA All-Academic team since UCF joined the league in 2005.

"We are excited that our athletes are receiving these nice postseason awards," head coach Todd Dagenais said. "Along with being academic all-district, this is a great award for Tory. These kinds of academic awards illustrate our program's commitment to academics and highlight the special student athletes that we have involved in our program."

This is the second academic award of the season for the Canadian native as she was a Capital One Academic All-District selection and is up for a spot on the Capital One Academic All-America team.

Overall, McCutcheon boasts a 3.94 GPA as a molecular & microbiology major and ranks second on the team in total blocks, averaging nearly one block per set, and has posted 16 matches with a .300 hitting percentage or better. The middle blocker has earned the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll in each of her seasons at UCF.

McCutcheon and the Knights will close out the regular season a 9 p.m. tonight at UTEP. UCF is just one win away from its first 20-win season since 2003.
