ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After leading the UCF volleyball team to consecutive conference victories this past weekend, Meredith Murphy has been named the Bright House Student-Athlete of the Week.

The junior libero was impressive against second-place Houston, with 18 points for the Knights when she was at the service line, including seven-straight in the first set.

Murphy dug out 23 shots against the Cougars and 25 against Rice to push her career dig total to 1,354, No. 2 all-time at UCF.

The Austin, Texas, native was key in each victory over the top-60 RPI opponents. The Black and Gold squad are now 15-9, 7-6 and tied for fifth in Conference USA.

Looking to build off of last weekend's wins, the team travels to Memphis, Tenn. for a double header against the Tigers Thursday and Friday.
