GREENVILLE, N.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 24 UCF women's soccer team concluded its weekend road swing Sunday with a convincing 2-0 Conference USA victory over East Carolina at ECU Soccer Stadium. The Knights (8-2-4, 3-1-2 C-USA) received goals from juniors Nicolette Radovcic (Rockaway, N.J.) and Tishia Jewell (Satellite Beach, Fla.).

UCF senior Aline Reis (Campinas, Brazil) registered five saves in the winning effort.

The Knights have not suffered a loss in five-straight matches. The Pirates dropped to 6-5-1 overall and 1-4-0 in league play.

Radovcic gave UCF a 1-0 lead at the 40-minute mark when she scored off a header inside the box. The goal, her sixth of the year, was assisted by sophomore Kristina Trujic (Venice, Fla.). Jewell notched her fifth score of the season at the 63-minute mark, scoring in the lower left corner past Christiane Cordero. Sophomore Katy Ling (Kent, England) and junior Andrea Rodrigues (St. Petersburg, Fla.) assisted on the score.

The match concluded a weekend road trip for the Knights. UCF and host Marshall played to a scoreless draw Friday evening in Huntington, W.Va.

"We had some scoring chances Friday at Marshall, and today we put them away," UCF head coach Amanda Cromwell said. "We scored two nice goals, and had some other chances as well. East Carolina is a tough team to play against. They are very organized and have a dangerous counter attack."

Each team attempted eight shots Sunday, and the Knights finished with a 4-1 edge in corner kicks. Jewell recorded three shots in the victory, and Ling got off two shots.

The shutout was the fifth of the year for Reis. UCF improved to 5-1-2 away from Orlando in 2011.

"It is great to pickup two shutouts on the road," Cromwell said. "We played with some different field conditions each time out. Our back line, with Ashely (Nicol) and Marrisa (Diggs) and Aline did a great job. One of our goals for the weekend was to post two shutouts and we accomplished that."

The Knights will return to action on Friday at Rice. UCF will conclude its stretch of four-straight matches away from home on Sunday, Oct. 16 at Houston.
