UCF's Blasco Claims ITA Campus Showdown Title

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Jorge Blasco of the UCF men's tennis team claimed the singles title at the ITA Campus Showdown at the UCF Tennis Complex this past weekend. Blasco is a junior who is in his first year with the Knights.

ITA Campus Showdowns are one-day, short-format tournaments open to juniors, college players, professionals and adults.

Blasco was one of five Knights who competed in the event. Mitch Thams, Erik Brunskog, Francesc Aulina and Juan Bolona were also in action at the tournament.

Thams and Bolona took the doubles title. The pair defeated Blasco and Aulina, 5-2, for the championship.
