ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After helping the UCF men's soccer team earn a pair of conference victories over ranked opponents, forward McKauly Tulloch was named the Bright House Student-Athlete of the Week. This is the third award Tulloch has received this past week, after making national headlines as the College Soccer News National Player of the Week and C-USA Offensive Player of the Week.
The sophomore tallied seven points during the week, registering three goals and an assist as the Knights opened conference play. In UCF's 2-1 comeback win in overtime against No. 21 Kentucky, Tulloch tied the match with a goal at the 38-minute mark.
Against conference foe SMU, Tulloch's assist to Eduardo Jimenez put the Knights ahead 2-0 in the first half. He then scored a pair of second half goals that put the game out of reach as UCF went on to win 4-2.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore is dominating and his 27 points to lead the nation proves it. In only eight matches, he already has 12 goals.
The Knights return to action Saturday when they host conference opponent South Carolina. The match will begin at 4 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex.
