ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Kickoff for UCF's contest at SMU Oct. 15 has been announced for 3:30 p.m. ET, and it will be televised by FOX Sports Networks. The meeting in Dallas will be a rematch of the 2010 Conference USA Championship Game where the Knights topped the Mustangs, 17-7, to grab an invitation to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl where it defeated Georgia.

UCF's journey to SMU will be only the second time in school history that it invades Gerald J. Ford Stadium. In the first game between the Knights and Mustangs, the Black and Gold defeated SMU in Dallas, 49-20, Nov. 17, 2007.

In all, UCF leads the series, 3-0, but outgained SMU in total yards in just the 2007 game where Kevin Smith rushed for 177 yards and two scores. The following season in Orlando, Ronnie Weaver racked up 123 yards and a touchdown on the ground in a 31-17 triumph. And in 2010, Latavius Murray was the C-USA Championship Game MVP thanks to 94 rushing yards, a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown.

A major difference in those games was turnovers, as UCF's defense recorded three interceptions in both 2007 and 2008, and two more in 2010 to hold a plus-7 turnover margin in the all-time series with SMU.

Before facing SMU (2-0 in C-USA), UCF opens its league schedule this Saturday when it hosts Marshall at 7 p.m. Presented by Florida Hospital, it will be UKNIGHT in PINK at Bright House Networks Stadium. The UKNIGHT in PINK campaign is bringing together the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, UCF Athletics and the entire community in support of Susan G. Komen's mission - to save lives and end breast cancer forever. For more information and details on how to purchase a pink UCF "PATCH" call (407) 823-1000.
