ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Preseason college basketball preview magazines are now on newsstands and a pair of Knights are picking up honors from the publications. UCF juniors Keith Clanton and Marcus Jordan are both receiving recognition entering the 2011-12 campaign.

Jordan, who averaged 15.2 points per game a year ago, has been named to the preseason All-Conference USA First Team by Lindy's and Athlon Sports. In 2010-11, the guard was an all-conference second team pick. In addition to leading the Knights in scoring, he averaged a team-high 3.3 assists in 31.5 minutes an outing.

Clanton was selected to the Athlon Sports preseason all-league second team. The power forward averaged 14.2 points and a team-best 7.7 rebounds last season. He shot 52.9 percent overall and blocked 60 shots, good for second on the UCF single-season register. The Orlando native earned a spot on the All-C-USA Third Team at the conclusion of the regular season.

Both Clanton and Jordan received national honors from Lindy's. The magazine recognized Clanton as the 18th-best post player in the country, and ranked Jordan 19th among all shooting guards. Additionally, The Sporting News named Jordan the best leader in C-USA.

Clanton and Jordan led the Knights to a memorable campaign a year ago under head coach Donnie Jones. UCF won 21 contests, defeated No. 16 Florida, Miami, South Florida and Princeton, entered the national rankings for the first time and competed in the postseason College Basketball Invitational.
