ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 9 UCF men's soccer team will return to the Conference USA portion of its schedule Saturday as the Knights head to Tennessee to take on Memphis. The contest at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The Knights are 9-2-3 overall and 3-1-1 in league play. On Tuesday, UCF played a non-league game at Stetson and the contest finished in a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods.
Junior Nik Robson (Bucklands Beach, New Zealand) scored for the Knights at Stetson and has three goals in UCF's last two outings. On Monday, Robson was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week after totaling two goals in UCF's 2-1 victory over visiting Tulsa.
Robson has seven goals on the year. The Knights are led by sophomore McKauly Tulloch (Kingston, Jamaica), who has 12 goals in 11 matches. Senior Kevan George (Roxborough, Trinidad) has totaled six assists on the year, and ranks fifth in C-USA in the category.
UCF is 4-1-3 away from home in 2011. Four of the team's last five matches have been on the road.
Memphis is 10-4-1 overall and 3-3-0 in league play this year. On Wednesday, the Tigers posted a 2-1 non-league road win over Central Arkansas.
Memphis is 5-1-0 at home. The team is led by Mark Sherrod who paces the conference in points with 36. He has 17 goals on the year.
After playing at Memphis, UCF will return to Orlando to host league foe South Carolina Tuesday.
