ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the past three weeks, the UCF baseball team has been hard at work around the baseball complex. With this year's motto being "good to great," the Knights have been logging long hours on the diamond in hopes of improving on last year's trip to the NCAA Tournament.
All of the squad's hard work will culminate Oct. 26-28 when the Knights host the Black and Gold World Series. Next week, two teams will be drafted from the roster and go head-to-head in a three-game set. Games 1 and 2 will begin at 3 p.m., with Game 3 slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch on the Friday night before homecoming. Admission is free to all.
Fans can expect an entertaining gameday atmosphere in the Game 3 primetime affair. In-game promotions, rocking music and great prizes along with some high-octane baseball on the diamond make for a great time for all Knight fans.
