ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The 2011-12 UCF men's basketball season is shaping up to be another exciting campaign, and fans can make sure they don't miss any of the action at the UCF Arena by purchasing season tickets Friday evening before UKNIGHT Madness. Doors to the arena will open at 6:30 p.m. for a select-a-seat event.
UKNIGHT Madness is free for all UCF supporters, and will provide a first look at this year's UCF men's and women's basketball teams. The event includes a dunk contest, 3-point contest and an autograph session.
Season tickets, which start at just $96, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com. The Knights are scheduled to play 17 regular-season games at the UCF Arena this year.
UCF is coming off a memorable 2010-11 campaign. In their first year under head coach Donnie Jones, the Knights started the year 14-0, posted impressive non-league wins over No. 16 Florida, Miami, USF and Princeton, entered the national rankings for the first time and participated in the postseason College Basketball Invitational.
The Knights return two of the premier players in Conference USA in juniors Keith Clanton and Marcus Jordan. Clanton was recently named to the Preseason All-C-USA First Team, while Jordan earned second team honors.
UCF's home schedule includes a non-league visit from Old Dominion, which has played in two-straight NCAA Tournaments. In C-USA play, the Knights will host 2011 NCAA Tournament participants Memphis and UAB.
Complimentary parking for UKNIGHT Madness is available in Garage D and Garage F on campus.
