George O'Leary's opening statements
Obviously, it was a good conference win. I thought defensively, we went out there and played well. I thought offensively, we had our moments but too many moments when we had opportunities that we squandered on the field, which concerns me as far as some of the decisions that were making. In the kicking game, we left points on the board with the fumbled snap on the field goal. I've been in football for a long time and I've never been involved in a game where it rained like it did but it was like that for both teams. We got to look at some of the mistakes, correct them and head off to SMU next weekend.
O'Leary on the play of the running backs
Except for the fumble, where we gave up the ball deep in their territory and gave up points we shouldn't have, Brynn (Harvey) ran well. Brynn hit the holes when he needed to, while the other backs were dancing a little too much outside, trying to take an inside play outside on a wet field.
O'Leary on the dominating defensive effort all season long
The defense started getting annoyed by the offense when they fumbled and took it for a score. It's a team game, not a me game and we understand that. They're playing well, as far as responsibilities. They're getting their hands on some more balls creating break-ups. I was also pleased with the pressure our front seven created.
