ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF fans can experience Thanksgiving basketball like never before! When you purchase a commemorative PINK PATCH during UCF's UKNIGHT in PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness month, this October, you can enter to win a four-day/three-night trip to for two to the luxurious Atlantis resort during the Battle 4 Atlantis. Winners will also receive round-trip airfare from Orlando to Nassau and tickets to UCF men's basketball's games at the event.
Fans can purchase their PINK PATCH at both Barnes & Noble locations on the UCF campus throughout the month of October (while supplies last). After purchasing the PINK PATCH, scan the QR Code on the back to pull up the internet site where you enter to win.
Through UKNIGHT in PINK, UCF Athletics has partnered with Florida Hospital and the Central Florida affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in support of breast cancer awareness as well as creating greater awareness about the life-saving benefits of annual mammograms and early detection.
On Oct. 10 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and Oct. 11 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.), Florida Hospital will be at the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center offering mobile digital mammography screenings. The UCF men's basketball team will begin the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis tournament with a tough test when the Knights will play the College of Charleston on Thursday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. UCF is one of eight teams competing in the three-day tournament at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
UCF will then meet either Florida State or UMass on Nov. 25. The Seminoles were an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 team a year ago when they won 23 contests. The Knights will close the tournament on Nov. 25. Other teams participating in the event include defending national champion Connecticut, UNC-Asheville, Harvard and Utah. Both UNC-Asheville (NCAA) and Harvard (NIT) participated in the postseason last year.
