ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Off to an excellent start to the season, the No. 10 UCF men's soccer team will open Conference USA play at home Wednesday against No. 21 Kentucky. The contest at the UCF Soccer Complex is set to begin at 7 p.m.

The Knights have started the 2011 campaign in impressive fashion. UCF is 6-1-1 and in addition to the top-10 national ranking, is listed at No. 2 in the south regional rankings. The Knights are off to their best start to a season since the program moved to the Division I level in 1984.

Tickets to the contest will be available on Wednesday outside the soccer complex. The Gold Pass, which offers season tickets to all men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, softball and track & field events, is still available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.

UCF ranks 12th in the country in scoring at 2.38 goals per game. Sophomore McKauly Tulloch (Kingston, Jamaica) has nine goals in only six contests this year, and is first nationally in points per outing (3.33).

Kentucky is 7-3-1 on the year. The Wildcats lead the nation in total goals with 25 in 2011. The team has faced four nationally-ranked squads this season, and owns wins over No. 9 Michigan and No. 15 Brown. The contest will be televised live in central Florida on Bright House Sports Network. Jeff Radcliffe will handle the play-by-play duties and will be joined by Scott Adams during the broadcast.

Halftime of the match will feature a performance by the United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team. The USAF Honor Guard Drill Team personifies the integrity, discipline, teamwork, and professionalism of every Airman and every Air Force mission. Through the group's 60-year history, the drill team has performed in every state of the union and abroad.
