ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After receiving all-tournament honors at the Towne Place Suites/UCF Challenge this past weekend, senior Rachel Vukson has been named the Bright House Student-Athlete of the Week.
Vukson tallied 39 assists and 11 digs in the Conference USA opener against UTEP on Friday. The following night against FIU, Vukson was even better with a career-high 18 digs and 52 assists, capturing her fifth double-double of the season.
The Oakville, Ontario, native has been nothing but spectacular all season. She has been selected to the all-tournament team at every tournament UCF has participated thus far. In addition, she was named the Division 1 National Player of the Week by Sports Imports/AVCA and CVU.com on September 5th.
With conference play, the 6-foot-1 senior looks to continue her strong play this season.
The Knights return to action on Friday when it hosts C-USA foe SMU at 7 p.m. at The Venue.
