GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team continued play at the Gator Invitational at the Ring Tennis Complex Saturday. The Knights met players from Florida during day two of the tournament.

Four of the Gators' singles players are nationally ranked, and the hosts picked up several wins on the day.

"We competed well today and had some chances to make some things happen, but we didn't capitalize," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. " Florida always has a tough team, but our guys realized today that we can play with them if have the right mind set and execute when we need to."

The Knights opened the tournament Friday, squaring off against players from USF.

The event is the first of six this fall for UCF.
