ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Along with a six-game winning streak and a 2-0 record to start 2011, UCF fans' excitement for the Knights' first away game against FIU is beyond words.

"I am so pumped, from a level of 1-to-10, it's a 15," UCF senior Seth Benes said. Benes is one of the many fans who will travel to Miami this weekend to support the Knights. "I want to be there with and for my school, the guys on the football team and enjoy a little of Miami."

It seems like everyone is on the lookout for UCF's quarterback, Jeff Godfrey, and Benes is no exception. "I am excited to see him," Benes said. "It is great to see how he has developed as a sophomore this season."

Although Benes does not know where he will go once he graduates, he will continue to follow Godfrey as well as the rest of the team. "I won't be here in the next two years, but I will definitely watch out for him throughout his career," Benes added. As an unconditional fan, Benes has not only been at the first two games, but he also will be at every remaining home game, not to mention the ECU game in Greenville as well.

Recent graduate student Jose Salazar is another fan who can't wait to go down to Miami. "I am very excited to attend the game," Salazar said. "It is really nice to be able to play different teams each season and it's a great experience to be able to go support our team and not having to drive that far."

As for words of encouragement, Benes had some thoughts for the team.

"Come out, play like you have in the first two games and don't take these guys [FIU] for granted, because if you do they will beat us."

UCF fans all over would agree with him.

"I hope we come out of the game with a win to keep this season rolling," Salazar added.

The Knights will play FIU (2-0) this Saturday at Miami at 6 p.m. in a game that is close to being sold out. Although both teams have started with a perfect season, this weekend will determine who will break the winning streak.
