ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Assisting the UCF volleyball team to a 3-1 record this past weekend in the Residence Inn/UCF Invitational, senior Rachel Vukson (Oakville, Ontario) earned her second-straight Conference USA Setter of the Week award Monday afternoon.

This is the fourth time Vukson was won the C-USA award, and third in a UCF uniform.

"We are very excited for Rachel to receive the honor two weeks in a row," head coach Todd Dagenais said. "It is nice that the conference office recognized her despite our blemish on the record over the weekend. It shows that our team continues to head in the right direction when we put ourselves in position to win these awards."

After earning Sports Imports/AVCA and CVU.com National Player of the Week last Monday, in addition to the C-USA award, Vukson once again came through with a monster weekend for the Knights. She totaled 163 assists over the four-game span with 38 digs and eight service aces. Vukson also ended the weekend with two double-doubles in assists and digs against both BIG EAST opponents, Pittsburgh and USF.

Behind the Canadian native's smooth passing, the Knights hit .254 for the weekend, with an average of 14.6 kills per set. Vukson's presence on defense enabled the Knights to hold their opponents to .122 on the attack and just 9.5 kills per set. Vukson was named to the all-tournament team following the USF match, her third tournament award of the season.

UCF returns to the court Friday night for its first C-USA matchup of the season when UTEP travels to The Venue to take on the Knights. Match time is set for 7 p.m.

Remember students that if you have attended any of the Knights' previous matches you are eligible for the "Ride Away to Miami" promotion. One lucky student who wins the stellar trip to South Florida will receive four tickets to the UCF-FIU football game on Saturday, and a room at the team hotel.

Season tickets for the 2011 season are available now for only $30, which includes 18 regular-season matches at The Venue at UCF and admission to three home tournaments. Also available for purchase this season is the UCF Gold Pass. For $75, the Gold Pass grants the avid Knights fan admission to all home volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball and track & field events.
