UCF Head Coach George O'Leary
On his team's performance:
"Obviously it was a good first game, we got a chance to play everybody. I thought for a first game we kept the execution mistakes to a minimum; we have some penalties I'm sure we could have eliminated. The communication from the sidelines to the field needs to improve, but other than that it was a good game. "
On attention to detail:
"Consistency out there is key. Obviously we had some wrong formations out there, which I think is a communication problem, but for the most part I think both quarterbacks did what they had to do giving us a chance to make plays. We had a lot more talent than the team we were facing but we still have to execute the plays."
On next week's game against Boston College:
"They're a well-coached team. They have a good running back and really good offense. We face a tough opponent next week."
Running Back Latavius Murray
On his team's performance:
"Overall, I think we did what we had to do. I am sure there are some mistakes that we made and there are things that need to be corrected but I think we did what we had to do to win."
On the next game against Boston College:
"I think it's going to be a great game. I am very excited to play them and I know we need to go out there and get another win. I know they want to come back from that loss and we just want to keep the winning going."
On the offensive line:
"They did a great job. They don't get enough credit. I think they had a lot of open holes and helped us out. They were part of the big win today."
Running Back Ronnie Weaver
On the rotation during the game:
"I think coach (O'Leary) handled it very well whenever he needed a substitution. He kept fresh legs in there. We are always competitive with each other, taking any work that we can and every time that we know we are in there, we have to produce."
On going for 44 yards on the first play of the season:
"Our offensive line did a great job opening the hole on the left side and trying to get in there as quickly soon as possible."
On breaking the school record for most rushing touchdowns in a game:
"It's a great thing to be part of and it was a complete team effort today. We were doing great things on both sides of the field."
On the next game against Boston College:
"We are taking one game at a time and we are going to take everything we have and come out there and compete and hopefully win."
