UCF Football Season Opener Fastly Approaching, Some Important Notes to Remember

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With so much being planned around this Saturday's season-opener vs. Charleston Southern, UCF Athletics wants to remind all fans about these upcoming notes of interest.

UCF Student Ticket Registration: It's still open! The website to clear current UCF student ID cards, www.KnightTickets.com, is still accepting ticket registration through Friday, Sept. 2, at midnight. Current and valid UCF students won't want to miss game No. 1 or any other game this season.

Got Your Tickets Yet?: Don't miss the big game this Saturday. Affordable season ticket, fan packages and single-game options are still available in great seating locations. Individual game tickets are also on sale to each of UCF's six home games at Bright House Networks Stadium in 2011. Go to Ticketmaster.com and check the excellent UCF Football ticket options still available.

"THE PATCH" Parade of Champions: Be sure to line up on Gemini Boulevard between 3:30-4:30 p.m. to view "THE PATCH" Parade of Champions march on by. Catch a glimpse of your favorite UCF Knight student-athletes, Mardi Gras Floats, the Shriners, Marching Knights, UCF Spirit Squad, CBS and COX radio station vans, area youth sport champions, UCF Sport Club champions, majorettes, twirlers and more! Once in front of IOA Plaza, it will form a massive fan tunnel for the football team to conduct a historic Knight Walk as they head to their home locker room just over two hours prior to kickoff.

Lunch with George: The first Lunch with George takes place tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 2, where head football coach George O'Leary will answer questions directly from fans about the upcoming 2011 football season. The event will be held at noon in the J. Rolfe Davis Lounge, located in the south endzone of Bright House Networks Stadium on the UCF campus. Fans should park in lots E6 and E7. The first 200 patrons to show up get a free lunch from Chick-fil-A!

Gold Zone Garage C Single-Game Parking Passes: Park that much closer to Bright House Networks Stadium in the Gold Zone, Garage C, by conveniently purchasing single-game parking passes online for $20. Click HERE to pre-purchase your Gold Zone Garage C parking pass prior to gameday. Note: Garage C will not operate as a cash lot on gameday. Garage C parking passes must be purchased online in advance, and will include the convenient print-at-home option.

Courtesy Gameday Tram Service: If you choose to park in one of the many FREE PARKING lots in the Red and Blue Zone, check out the new courtesy tram that will help bring fans closer to the stadium. The courtesy tram will operate around Apollo Circle with passenger pick-up/drop-off at designated locations only. The operations will be provided on a continuous basis starting four (4) hours prior to the game and ending two (2) hours after each game concludes. Garage H Cash Lot: On gameday, Garage H will also be open for parking at $20 per vehicle. Garage H is the only cash-lot open on gameday. Garage H will be reserved for authorized students displaying SGA-provided parking passes and cash-paying customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Preferred campus entrances for Blue Zone parking are on Alafaya Trail at Gemini Boulevard North, Centaurus Drive or University Boulevard. Click HERE to view the Garage H location.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
