ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Monday, Aug. 8. Today marks the first practice with full pads for the Knights, and it starts up at 3:20 p.m.

News
-During Sunday's practice, sophomore Jordan McCray continued to look strong at left guard. McCray, who has been playing alongside brothers Cliff and Justin, was a member of the C-USA All-Freshman Team last year.
-While quarterback Jeff Godfrey has been busy reading the defense at a rapid pace, he also hit receiver Khymest Williams on a pair of perfect routes during the day. And the connection between backup QB Blake Bortles and receiver Josh Reese also got the fans' attention on the practice field.
-Junior cornerback/punt returner Josh Robinson earned a spot on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List, which is given out to the nation's most versatile player. Robinson now has a spot on five preseason watch lists.

-Enters his fourth and final season as UCF's long snapper.
-Was voted onto the 2010 All-C-USA Second Team.
-Also selected to the 2008 C-USA All-Freshman Team.
-Has not missed a game since his true freshman campaign, playing in all 39 contests from 2008-10.

Stat of the Day
-The Knights' defense did not allow Memphis (23), SMU (97) and Georgia (82) to record at least 100 rushing yards in the final three games last season.

What to Look For
-Practice No. 6 is currently scheduled for Tuesday at 3:20 p.m.
-Look out for details on UCF football single-game ticket information to be released in the near future.

Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
