UKNIGHT and Get The "PATCH" Interview
#35 - Ronnie Weaver
On being one of seven Knights aiming for their third C-USA title...
"It seems like we've been here so long that it's just a blessing to have that opportunity, and have this team around you to go for that third conference championship in your tenure at the school. But we understand that we've got to keep working hard every day, and it's not going to be easy. The first two times weren't easy at all."

On UCF's rising expectations...
"The expectations of not only the community but of ourselves have grown. We understand we can do great things if we put our mind to it and do what we're coached to do. As long as we execute we'll be just fine."

On having extra motivation due to not being ranked in the top 25...
"Personally, I don't really look at the polls. Coach O'Leary always tells us that the poll that matters is the one at the end. We can't control how the polls come out, so we worry about the things that we can control."

Stat of the Day
-UCF would love to open 2011 similar 2010, as on the first drive against South Dakota last year, the Knights took it 75 yards on 10 plays (5:23 elapsed), culminating in a 1-yard Jonathan Davis rushing touchdown. Davis, now slated to start as an outside linebacker this season, ran for 30 yards on five carries and Rob Calabrese was 2-for-2 for 25 yards on the drive.

What to Look For
-UCF continues its practice sessions Thursday morning before its walk-thru Friday.
-George O'Leary Radio Show at The MOAT in Oviedo Thursday at 7 p.m.
-Welcome Back `Pre-Tailgate Rally' Thursday from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Tower III Lobby - it's an interactive information session where you can connect with campus offices and receive free pizza, refreshments and prizes.
-Lunch with George at Bright House Networks Stadium Friday at noon, and the first 200 attendees get free Chick-fil-A.
