ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After opening the season with a 2-1 road win over Jacksonville, the No. 16 UCF men's soccer team returns home to take on UMass Friday night at 7 p.m. The game will be played at the newly expanded UCF Soccer Complex.

"Our players are really excited about this game," head coach Bryan Cunningham said. "They are looking forward to the home opener in our new stadium."

On Sunday, junior A.J. Nelson (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) scored the first goal of the regular season for the Knights to tie the game, 1-1, before sophomore McKauly Tulloch (Kingston, Jamaica) netted a second half tally to give UCF the win at Jacksonville.

In last season's match-up between UCF and UMass on Sept. 17, the Knights fell 2-1 as the Minutemen netted a last chance goal in the 90th minute.

"UMass is a quality opponent and we will be preparing diligently all week for a tough test," Cunningham added. "I have a lot of respect for their head coach Sam Koch, and know that his team will come here prepared."

UMass comes into the match 0-1 after falling 3-0 to Delaware on Aug. 26th. The Minutemen ended last season 5-5-8 overall, finishing its last game in a 2-2 draw at St. Louis.

Individual game tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth and seniors. For just $75, Knights fans will receive season tickets to both soccer programs as well as volleyball in the fall and every softball game and track & field meet in the spring. The 2011 Gold Pass is on sale now and can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com, over the phone by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting the Bright House Networks Stadium Ticket Office.
