ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF senior cheerleader Danielle Walden has been named a 2011 Collegiate All-American by Inside Cheerleading Magazine. Walden earned the distinction from the magazine in the current issue after an extensive evaluation process based on nominations from collegiate coaches from across the nation.

Walden is one of just 20 cheerleaders nationally to be recognized by the cheer-based publication. Entering her senior year, Walden has been a member of UCF's last three nationals appearances.

"We are so excited to honor a group of collegiate athletes who represent the highest standards," Shane Womack, Associate Publisher for Inside Cheerleading said. "It's no easy task to narrow the selections down to the twenty cheerleaders who best exemplify the all-around collegiate image."

"Danielle Walden is very deserving of being named to the Collegiate All American Team. She has been a member of our nationals team each year since her freshman season and has been instrumental in keeping our team among the nation's top three each year," head coach Linda Gooch said. "Danielle excels in every area, including the classroom where as a senior she carries a 3.9 GPA. I know that our entire team joins me in saying that we are all so proud that Inside Cheerleading is recognizing her talent and hard work."
