ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Monday, Aug. 22. Today marks the first day of classes for the fall semester.

News
-Visit UCFPhotos.com to download the UCF football fan/team photo from Saturday's FanFest for free.
-Before entering the classroom to start the week, UCF will practice Monday morning. Practices are now closed to the public for the rest of the season.
-The Knights did not practice Sunday, ending a stretch of 17-straight days where they held a practice session during the preseason.

Defensive Line - 6-2/302 - Sophomore
Eatonville, Fla./Edgewater

-As a true freshman in 2010, started three of UCF's first four games at right tackle on the defensive line.
-Played in 11 games overall, missing just the UAB, Tulane and Memphis contests.
-Made his presence known at Buffalo by recording four tackles including one for a six-yard loss. Other big games were a three-tackle performance at Kansas State and the meeting with East Carolina where he notched a six-yard sack.
-Completed his first campaign at the collegiate level with 13 total tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss.
-Played high school ball with current UCF junior wide receiver/kick returner Quincy McDuffie at Edgewater High School.

Stat of the Day
-In 2010, UCF converted 4-of-5 fourth downs during the fourth quarter, while opponents went for it on fourth down in the final quarter 17 times, and succeeded on just seven occasions.

What to Look For
-On Campus: CAB's Reel Big Movie Night showing "Thor" Tuesday at 9 p.m. - free admittance, popcorn and cotton candy at Knights Plaza at UCF Arena.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
