UKNIGHT and Get The "PATCH" Interview
Charlie Taaffe
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach
On the progress of the offense...
"This is the hardest part of the year offensively because we are installing so much offense that we won't carry it all into every game, but in selected weeks of the season there may be things we might want to go back and use. So they've had a lot thrown at them mentally but they've done a good job. I think our first unit is pretty solid, and in the second group the whole line basically are redshirt freshmen and they are still learning.

"Both quarterbacks are doing well and I'm very pleased with Blake Bortles' progress. He's a solid guy who can be ready to play. Our running back situation is what we expected. Brynn (Harvey) is getting it back, and is not practicing with a brace. He's got confidence and we can see the cutting and the bursts out of him that I saw in 2009. And Adam Nissley is much-improved in the passing game. That will take a lot of pressure off the receivers."

Stat of the Day
-Home or away in the regular season, it didn't matter for Jeff Godfrey. The signal-caller threw for 1,039 yards and six touchdowns on the road, while he finished with 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns on the grass of Bright House Networks Stadium.

What to Look For
-Saturday's practice will be the final workout open to the public and it runs from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. And FanFest will begin at 4:30 p.m. with UCF's team photo to kick it off. All events are free, and parking is available in lots E6 and E7, which are the grass lots on the East side of Bright House Networks Stadium.
