ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFathletics.com) - UCF men's soccer senior Warren Creavalle (Acworth, Ga.) was named to the College Soccer News 2011 Preseason All-American Second Team. Creavalle became the first Knight in more than a decade to earn All-American status on the Division I level last season after being named to the National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) All-American Third Team.

"This is a great honor for Warren and for this program," head coach Bryan Cunningham said. "Not only did Warren have a great season last year, but he continued that play through the spring season. Warren is the type of player that will continue to be successful with hard work and I know that will happen for him this year."

As a midfielder for the Knights, Creavalle was honored numerous times during the 2010 season, earning spots on the Conference USA All-Conference First Team and the NSCAA/Performance Subaru All-South Region First Team. Recently, Creavalle was also ranked No. 15 on the Top 100 men's college soccer seniors for the 2011 season. The recognition came from soccer expert Joe Mauceri who writes "Joe's Big Board" on TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Creavalle is one of just three C-USA players to be named All-Americans along with Arthur Ivo (SMU) and Justin Chavez (Tulsa). Ivo was named to the first team, while Chavez joins Creavalle with second-team honors.

In 2010, Creavalle picked up his first goal of the season against FAU in early September and UCF's lone marker in a tie at Kentucky. He recorded one goal and one assist against Memphis on Oct. 9 and scored the opening tally against Virginia Tech on Oct. 19. In all, Creavalle finished the season with four goals and four assists for 12 points and was one of the most dynamic and all-around players in the nation.

The Knights open the regular season Aug. 26 at Jacksonville before taking on the UMass in their first home opener on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.
