ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Friday, Aug. 12. Today's practice is scheduled for 3:20 p.m., while Saturday's practice will feature the team's first scrimmage and run from 9:10-11:30 a.m. (changed from 3:20-5:30 p.m.).

News
-The Knights finally returned outdoors Thursday to begin week No. 2 of preseason camp. Inclement weather had forced UCF inside Nicholson Fieldhouse the previous three practice sessions.
-After three-straight days of full pads, UCF switched to just shoulder pads Thursday, and ended practice approximately 45 minutes early. A typical day for the Knights includes breakfast at 7 a.m. and meetings and walk-thrus prior to lunch. Following an afternoon practice, they attend special teams and individual meetings before curfew at 10:30 p.m.
-Fans are invited to attend UCF's scrimmage Saturday morning at the practice fields, but photography is not permitted.
-Head coach George O'Leary will be conducting two taped radio interviews today. The first will be on the Hans & OC Show which airs on 1280 AM in Salt Lake City (UCF travels to BYU Sept. 23), and that interview will likely air on Monday. O'Leary then will speak with the Shot Doctor today at 2 p.m., and his show is broadcast on 740-AM from 3-6 p.m.
