ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team continues to gain the national attention of media outlets as the 2011 season rapidly approaches. It was announced Wednesday afternoon that CollegeSoccerNews.com has the Knights ranked No. 28 in their annual Preseason Top 30 Poll.
This is the second Top 30 ranking for the Black & Gold in as many days as Tuesday saw the Knights claim the No. 22 ranking in Goal.com's preseason Top 25 poll.
It was just last season when UCF cracked the nation's Top 25 for the first time in program history, now the Knights are one of the country's burgeoning programs after reaching the second round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
Continue to check back with UCFathletics.com over the course of the next two weeks as more national polls are released leading up to the start of the 2011 season. The Knights open the season on the road at Jacksonville on Aug. 26 before beginning their home slate on Sept. 2 against UMass in the newly expanded UCF Soccer Stadium.
