-Head coach George O'Leary was on the air with Mike Bianchi this morning on Open Mike (740-AM) to accept the Mikey Award for best coach in the state of Florida. Other nominees were Jimbo Fisher (FSU football), Billy Donovan (Florida men's basketball), Raheem Morris (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Joe Maddon (Tampa Bay Rays).
-O'Leary said on the air, "I think the key is to get a good staff. You need good lieutenants, and you don't fool around with your philosophy. Once you have one you stick to it, and you shouldn't change it every year because someone else is doing something different. That's where I think some of the young coaches get in trouble."
-Tulsa World announced its C-USA media poll Thursday, and UCF was the front-runner in the C-USA East: Click Here .

-The Knights' defense allowed just nine rushing touchdowns in 2010, tying the school record (1981 and 1989).
What to Look For
-ConferenceUSA.com will present free, live streaming of the coaches press conferences on Sunday. O'Leary is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. ET. The press conferences begin at 3 p.m. ET and will run until approximately 5 p.m. ET. These press conferences will also be archived on the conference website.
- FOX Sports will also offer a live webcast of C-USA Media Day on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. ET on foxsportssouthwest.com, foxsportshouston.com, and foxsportssouth.com. C-USA Media Day Recap, a 30-minute program with highlights from media day, will debut on FOX Sports Southwest (Sunday, 11:30 p.m. ET), FOX Sports Houston (Sunday, 11:30 p.m. ET), FOX Sports Oklahoma (Sunday, 11:30 p.m. ET), SportsSouth (Monday, Aug. 1, 4 p.m. ET) and Sun Sports (Monday, Aug. 1, 6 p.m. ET).
-FOX Sports Southwest will also produce two Football Preview shows set to air and re-air during the two weeks prior to the CFB season starting, titled The C-USA East Division Football Preview and The C-USA West Division Football Preview. Both shows will be 30 minutes long and will air on FSN affiliates.

Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
