ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the second season in a row, UCF women's soccer signee Dara Spital (Miami, Fla.) was selected as the Florida Dairy Farmers Girls' Soccer Player of the Year. The forward will arrive at UCF after she helped guide Miami Gulliver Prep to the class 3A state title thanks to a 29-0 record.

Spital is the 19th winner of the annual award, sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. A statewide panel of high school soccer coaches and prep media representatives voted on the award honoring the top girls' soccer player for the 2010-11 season.

During her senior year with Gulliver Prep, Spital scored 49 goals and added 39 assists while serving as the team captain. She also was named the ESPN Rise High School National Player of the Year on Jan. 26.

As a junior, she received her first Florida Dairy Farmers Player of the Year award by registering 61 goals with 29 assists en route to All-Miami Herald Miami-Dade County First Team and Miami-Dade County Player of the Year accolades.

On the club scene, Spital spent time with the Sunrise Soccer Club in 2010 and with the Western Soccer Club from 2007-10.
