ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Two Knights excelled at the Florida State Amateur Stroke Play Championship in Ormond Beach over the weekend as Kaitlyn Price and Carolin Pinegger both recorded top-five finishes. Price finished fourth, followed by Pinegger, who tied for fifth at the Oceanside Country Club.
Price concluded the three-round event at 221 (+5). Pinegger was two shots behind at 223 (+7).
Fifty-five golfers competed at the tournament.
In 2010-11, Price and Pinegger played in all 11 events for the Knights. Price recorded three top-20 performances, and Pinegger had two top-20 showings.
