ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On June 6, UCF's KnightMoves Dance Team participated in a two-part shoot for ESPN's College GameDay as the featured team. UCF's mascot Knightro also participated in the commercial shoot. The production consisted of filming for a commercial to advertise the show as well as the opening for the GameDay program, which will air every Saturday during football season on ESPN. The team performed on-stage alongside country band Big and Rich to their song "Comin' To Your City."

"This was a great opportunity for our dance program as well as our University to be a part of such a high profile event," said spirit team head coach Linda Gooch. "Everyone who follows college football is familiar with the ESPN College GameDay show. We were thrilled to be invited to participate, but to have our team featured on stage performing with the band was such an honor".

Other spirit teams from around the country that were flown in for the event's crowd scenes included: FSU, Florida, UCLA and Mississippi State. UCF's Dance Team was selected as the team featured on stage with the band.

Junior Kaley Zimmerman commented, "The ESPN commercial shoot was such an amazing experience. Not only did we get to meet and work with the band Big and Rich, but we had the opportunity to meet people representing their schools from all over the country."

With the excitement of this ESPN event behind them, the team now looks to begin their summer preparation for the upcoming football season where they will grace the sidelines at all UCF home football games.
