ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF football continued to earn preseason honors this week by the College Football Performance Awards. Senior Darius Nall (Douglasville, Ga.) was selected to the 2011 Defensive Lineman Trophy Watch List, while junior cornerback Josh Robinson (Sunrise, Fla.) was placed on the Defensive Back Trophy Watch List.

Robinson now appears on two CFPA watch lists as he also received a spot as a punt returner last week.

The purpose of the College Football Performance Awards is to provide the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football. Recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

An All-Conference USA Second Team member a year ago, Nall dominated opposing offensive lines even though he did not start a game. He tied former Knight Bruce Miller for a team-high 8.5 sacks including one in the C-USA Championship Game against SMU, 2.5 sacks vs. Rice and two more at Buffalo. Nall also racked up a pair of C-USA weekly honors during the season.

Part of the solid UCF secondary, Robinson amassed 59 tackles as a sophomore in 2010 and paced all Knights with 13 break-ups while adding two interceptions en route to being voted onto the All-C-USA First Team. He has 21 break-ups and eight picks in just two campaigns in a Black and Gold uniform.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
