ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After coming over from LSU this spring to join the UCF women's basketball coaching staff, Bob Starkey is making his mark on the up-and-coming program. Starkey joins an already veteran coaching staff that is fresh off its second Conference USA Championship in three years, but brings a wealth of NCAA Tournament experience with him to Orlando.

Starkey was a part of the LSU basketball program for the better part of 20 years before joining the Knights' staff earlier this month. During his time with the Lady Tigers, Starkey helped them to five consecutive Final Four appearances (2004-2008), including serving as the interim head coach during the team's 2007 run to the National Semifinals in Cleveland.

Joining head coach Joi Williams' staff for the 2011-12 season, Starkey has already come in for the summer months to get a head start on his preparations for the upcoming campaign.

In the following video he discusses his new role with the Knights.
