ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After helping lead the UCF men's golf team another successful season, junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) was named to the PING All-Southeast Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced this week. Arendell was one of 152 golfers nationally across six districts who earned all-region honors.
This past season, Arendell was part of a UCF squad that claimed its third-straight Conference USA Championship and appeared in the NCAA Regionals for the fifth-consecutive year.
An All-C-USA First Team selection, he appeared all 11 of the Knights' events for head coach Bryce Wallor. Arendell recorded a 72.6 stroke average and registered four top-10 finishes.
He began the campaign in fine fashion, taking medalist honors at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Indiana in September. At the C-USA Championship in Arkansas, he tied for 13th. In total, Arendell posted eight top-20 performances during the season.
