ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF sports video services office was recently honored by Avid and the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA). The department received the 2011 Recruiting SAVVY award for its UCF football video that featured highlights from the 2010 Conference USA Championship Game and the Knights' win over Georgia in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

The CSVA is the organizing body for college athletics video specialists. The SAVVY's were created to acknowledge the non-broadcast post-production work done by video departments throughout the country.

Sandarvis Duffie served as the lead producer and principal editor of the video. In the recruiting category, UCF's video took top honors over entries from Florida State, Oklahoma, Stanford and West Virginia.

More awards could be on the horizon for the UCF sports video department. The group's "Knightmare 2010" video, which features recording artists Remove Before Flight and highlights from the 2010 football campaign, is a finalist for the Sports Video Group's Collegiate Sports Media Awards in the athletic department promotional video/PSA/commercial campaign/program open category.

UCF also has entries in Golden Matrix Awards from the Information Display Entertainment Association and the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators "Best of Awards."
