ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team plays its final home match of the season on Monday, hosting Bethune-Cookman at 2 p.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex.
Admission is free to all spectators and the first 50 fans will receive a free UCF Croakie and T-shirt. Senior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) will be competing in his final home match.
The Knights (8-11) defeated their third nationally-ranked opponent last Saturday, topping No. 52 DePaul, 4-3. Schwartz and junior Claudio Romano (Valencia, Venezuela) led the effort with two-set victories at No. 3 and 2, respectively. Freshman Mitch Thams (Queensland, Australia) clinched the win with a victory at No. 5 singles. DePaul served as the Knights' seventh-straight nationally-ranked opponent.
Bethune-Cookman (6-7) has dropped its last two matches to conclude a seven-match homestand. The Knights beat the Wildcats 6-1 in their 2009 match at the UCF Tennis Complex.
