ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed at the Conference USA Championship, and will open the event in Tulsa, Okla., Friday against No. 5 Memphis. First serve for the matchup against the Tigers at the Case Tennis Center on the Tulsa campus is 9 a.m. Eastern.

The winner of the UCF-Memphis contest will meet the winner of the No. 1 Tulsa/No. 8 East Carolina-No. 9 Southern Miss match in the semifinals Saturday. The champion of the event will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

Last year the Knights were eliminated by second-seed Rice in the semifinals. Rice advanced to defeat Tulsa in the 2010 C-USA Championship match. It was the fifth-straight season the Owls and Hurricanes faced each other in the championship match, with the first four titles going to Tulsa.

The Knights (9-14) have faced an incredibly challenging schedule this spring. Ten of the squad's opponents have been nationally-ranked, with UCF defeating three. Junior Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) leads UCF with 11 dual-match singles wins. Delinks and senior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) have paired for 13 dual-match doubles wins this spring.
