SACRAMENTO, Calif. (UCFAthletics.com) - With 12 team points, the UCF rowing team defeated Sacramento State in the Group C final point standings at the Lake Natoma Invitational Sunday in Sacramento, Calif.
Stanford placed first in Group A with 17 team points, Tennessee earned 12 points to win in Group B, while Oregon State edged UCF by three points to take the Group C title.
The Knights' varsity eight team placed first in the C Group Final with a time of 6:41.80 to defeat both Oregon State and Sacramento State and earn nine points for the Black and Gold, while the second varsity eight concluded the C Group Final in 7:00.95 to tally two points toward the team total.
In the varsity four event, UCF clocked in at 7:34.85 to post the final point toward the Knights' overall tally.
The Black and Gold's novice eight squad also competed in the regatta Sunday, as they registered a second-place finish behind California in the Petite Final with a time of 7:11.10.
The Knights are set to host their lone home event of the year April 30 vs. Miami.
