ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's 2011 home football games against Tulsa and UTEP have been moved to week days. Both games will be broadcast nationally with that announcement to come from the Conference USA office at a later date.
UCF will play host to the Golden Hurricane on Thursday night, Nov. 3 and will now welcome the Miners to Bright House Networks Stadium on Friday, Nov. 25.
The defending Conference USA and AutoZone Liberty Bowl champion, UCF will play host to Tulsa for the first time since defeating the Golden Hurricane in the 2007 C-USA Championship Game. UCF and Tulsa both finished the 2010 season ranked in the AP top 25, marking the first time that the league has had two ranked teams in the final poll since the 2005 realignment. On the day after Thanksgiving, the Knights will be facing UTEP for the third time. UCF beat the Miners in their lone previous Bright House Network Stadium appearance, also coming during the 2007 C-USA title season.
Fans can get an early look at the Knights on Saturday at the UCF Spring Football Festival. Tickets are just $5 for adults while children under 12 and students are free. A full day of excitement is planned, including a cook-off, Youth Sports Festival and autograph sessions with both the current Knights and several of UCF's NFL alumni in addition to the centerpiece Spring Game at 2 p.m.
