ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF UKnight Tour will kick off its first stop on Wednesday, April 20 in Jacksonville. The event will be located at Cadillac of Orange Park and begin at 6 p.m.
This year's UKnight Tour will feature three-time Conference USA Coach of the Year George O'Leary, as well as visitors from other UCF varsity sport programs, the Golden Knights Club, UCF Alumni Association and UCF Athletics. Joining the tour caravan this year are representatives from several UCF colleges including the new College of Medicine.
UCF football fans will not want to miss O'Leary recap the historic 2010 championship season, the upcoming 2011 season, and what new and exciting things are in store for the UCF football program. The tour will also include recently released UCF football highlight videos, autographs, prize raffles, trivia contests, a cash bar and free appetizers. The event will begin with a meet and greet followed shortly after by the evening's activities.
Any Knights fan at the event that brings a guest who is not a member of the Golden Knights Club or a UCF season ticket holder will receive special appreciation gift compliments of the GKC. If that guest joins the GKC or purchases season tickets for the 2011 football season, the referring fan will be entered into a grand prize drawing for an all-expense paid bowl trip to wherever the Knights play (excluding Hawaii.)
Future stops along the UKnight tour include visits to Tampa Bay, Melbourne, Palm Beach County, Broward County, Seminole County, downtown Orlando and Atlanta over the next month.
Attending a stop on 2011 UKNIGHT Tour is free to the public, but those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling the Golden Knights Club at (407) 882-1289 or sign-up by visiting events.athletics.ucf.edu.
