HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the second-consecutive season, UCF junior guard Isaac Sosa (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) was named to the Conference USA Men's Basketball All-Academic Team, the league office announced Friday. Sosa was one of only five student-athletes in the 12-team conference selected to the squad.

A finance major, Sosa boasts a 3.55 cumulative grade point average. He was joined on the league all-academic team by Johnny Thomas of Marshall, Connor Frizzelle and Lucas Kuipers of Rice and Collin Mangrum of SMU.

Sosa has appeared in all 28 of the Knights' (19-9, 6-9 C-USA) games this season, making 10 starts. He is third on the team in scoring at 8.7 points per game. Sosa has connected on 55 3-pointers and is shooting 40.1 percent from deep, good for seventh in the league.

The shooting guard had his best performance of the campaign in Wednesday's win over visiting SMU. He shot 4-of-7 from 3-point range and finished with a team-high 17 points.

Sosa and the Knights will conclude the regular season Saturday evening at Marshall. UCF will open play at the league championship in El Paso, Texas, on Wednesday.
